The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, addressed the members of the the Odisha Legislative Assembly in Bhubaneswar city of the eastern Indian state of Odisha today.

Addressing the gathering, the president said that the centenary of Odisha's formation will be celebrated in 2036. If all stakeholders can work together to build a prosperous Odisha by 2036, it will be Odisha's greatest contribution in making India a developed nation by 2047.

“The people of Odisha have immense hope and trust in their representatives. It is the duty of all MLAs to fulfill their expectations and bring smiles to their faces,” the president said.



The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, graced the inaugural session of the third edition of the Indian Army’s Seminar, ‘Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025’, in New Delhi.

Addressing the gathering, the president said that today’s geopolitical landscape is changing rapidly. The international system is being rewritten by contesting power centres, technological disruptions and shifting alliances.

“I am confident that our armed forces will continue to strive for excellence and move ahead with resolve and determination to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047,” the president said.



The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu graced the Constitution Day Celebration at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that in 2015, the year of Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary, it was decided to celebrate November 26th annually as Constitution Day.

“Members of both houses of Parliament have not only moved our country forward but have also cultivated a healthy tradition of profound political reflection,” the president said.

The president said that our Constitution is the document of our national pride. It is the text of our national identity. It is a guiding text for taking the country forward with a nationalist mindset by abandoning the colonial mindset.

The Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, BJP President JP Nadda, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, were present among other dignitaries at the event.



The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Omar Abdullah, laid the foundation stone for Automated Testing Station (ATS) in Khanpur area of Nagrota region in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

This facility will be a modern technology-driven vehicle fitness testing centre with minimal human intervention, marking a significant stride towards strengthening road safety and modernising transport infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister for Transport Satish Sharma, Secretary Transport Avny Lavasa, Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Regional Transport Officer Jammu, were present among other dignitaries at the event.

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, paid obeisance at the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya city of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

“This child idol of Ram Lalla is the awakened form of India's consciousness,” the prime minister said.


The Officer Trainees of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) called on President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi today.

Addressing the officers, the president said that ​the collection of revenue is critical for nation-building. This is the revenue that funds infrastructure, education, health, and social welfare. Therefore, they are active participants in India’s nation-building process.

The president also advised the officers to develop systems that are transparent, accountable, and technology-driven.


The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, paid obeisance at the revered Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya city of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.


Justice Surya Kant was sworn in as the 53 Chief Justice of India at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi today. He has a tenure as the top Judge till 9 February 2027.

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Minister of Law and Justice of India, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, were present among other dignitaries at the ceremony.

The prime minister has extended best wishes to Justice Surya Kant for his tenure ahead as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India.
