The President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, the president said the ancient Indian systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, and Siddha describe scientific methods of living a holistic and meaningful life. She expressed confidence that universities such as Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University will play a decisive role in increasing the scientific acceptance of the AYUSH system.
