The Government of Maharashtra has signed the Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited, marking Maharashtra as the first Indian state to formally collaborate with the Starlink to deploy satellite-based internet services across the region.

"It was wonderful to welcome Ms. Lauren Dreyer, Vice President, Starlink in Mumbai today," Shri Devendra Fadnavis, CM Maharashtra remarked. "With this landmark decision, Maharashtra will lead India in satellite-enabled digital infrastructure."

However, this is subject to Starlink’s regulatory and compliance clearances from Department of Telecom, Government of India.
