The Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michal, has called for more support for Ukraine, including weapons and funding the european country desires, amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Mr Michal underlined the need to increase pressure on Russia and to "raise the cost of Russia’s war," which the Europe allegedly feels threaten of. He also also accused Russia of not wanting no "make peace."
"Russia wants to destroy Ukraine, not make peace. We must make sure Ukraine has the weapons and funding it needs. And keep Russia under pressure," the prime minister said.
Day two of #EUCO starts with Ukraine. Russia wants to destroy Ukraine, not make peace. We must make sure Ukraine has the weapons and funding it needs. And keep Russia under pressure. Yesterday, we discussed how to bring down energy costs. We need more energy production and an end to dependence on fossil fuel imports. The next EU budget must deliver on defence, our eastern border, and strategic connections like Rail Baltica.
