Khaltse, June 24, 2025: The Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltse, Dr Shamim Ahmad, commenced a 7-day Multi-Speciality Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) camp in the trans-Singayla (Lingshed) region starting today.

The first day of the MMU camp was conducted at Photoksar village in Singaylalok block, offering a wide range of healthcare services, including general consultations, gynecological care, pediatric services, dental care, ophthalmic check-ups, non-communicable disease (NCD) counseling, laboratory tests, Adolescent-Friendly Health Clinic (AFHC) counselling, physiotherapy, and CBNAAT testing.

A total of 78 patients availed the services during the camp:
55 General OPD patients,
29 Dental OPD patients,
15 Gynecology OPD patients,
29 Pediatric patients,
43 Ophthalmic OPD patients,
10 AFHC Counseling,
29 patients underwent NCD screening
30 Physiotherapy and
6 CBNAAT tests conducted.

In addition, 125 laboratory tests were performed during the camp. A yoga session was also organised at Photoksar village, with 31 participants actively taking part.

The camp was staffed by the following medical professionals:
Dr Spalchen Gonbo – Pediatrician,
Dr Shamima Haque – Gynecologist,
Dr Stanzin Yangdol – Physician,
Dr Shaista Iqbal – Dental Surgeon and along with concerned paramedical staff.

This health outreach initiative aims to improve healthcare accessibility for remote villages like Photoksar and promote preventive health awareness across the trans-Singayla region.
