The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Omar Abdullah addressed the convocation ceremony of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) in Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of transformation, economically, socially and politically. He congratulated the graduating students for their achievements and praised the university for its vital role in advancing agricultural innovation, education, and rural development.
"Graduates are our new torchbearers. To all of you who graduate today, the world needs your knowledge, yes, but more importantly, it needs your courage, your compassion and your character." said the chief minister.
The event was attended by several notable dignitaries including the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of India Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Surinder Choudhary, Minister Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister Sakeena Itoo, along with the other government officials.
